He paints on large canvases and this is very sturdy and well-built. Also, it was relatively easy to put together. One slight issue is that the directions were not well-written at all and we just figured out how to do it by looking at it and some experimentation.
However, the two "arms" that are supposed to extend so you can rest a pallate on them were useless. They need to be shorter in order to connect properly to the stand and be usable. Either they need to be cut/shortened, or not used at all. And, as afore-mentioned, the directions were useless. Sigh.
Overall, great stand - except for the pallate holder. But that's not really necessary, so it's still a good stand.
Lastly, you really can't beat the price - which is about half of any other decent easel out there.
