The quick connect can be a bit hard for a person with a weak grip to engage and disengage. Perhaps this is plus if you have kids around. The hose is 10' long, not 4' as stated in the ad when I purchased the item. The flexible hose is vulnerable to being chewed by squirrels and raccoons to the point of leaking gas. I have replaced two hoses because of the forest critters. I have now sleeved the hose in flexible blue plastic electrical conduit to stop the damage.

(More customer reviews)There is nothing wrong with the hose itself. Just be absolutely sure it is exactly what you want. Because returning it is no easy task. It turned out the hose was not compatible with what I needed it for, so I attempted to return it. Returning the product was painstaking. The company, ANTOnline makes you jump through a dozen different hoops before you can return it and then ultimately rips you off, by charging you a restocking fee. You'll have to contact the company providing your reasoning for the return, wait a few days and they will send you an RMA# which you need to return it, then after they receive the item they determine without previously informing you, how much of a refund you will actually get (its not a full refund, they keep a little for themselves). The original cost of the item for me with taxes and shipping turned out to be around 18 dollars. I then had to pay an additional 7 dollars in shipping fees to return it. My refund was only 10 dollars!!! So I basically pissed about 15 dollars away because of ANTOnline. I will never do business with ANTOnline again!!!

So glad I did! It was easy to assemble (I'm a 52-year-old woman, and I put it together by myself) and is extremely well made. The grilling area is spacious, despite the overall size, and it gets very hot, very quickly.
It looks like, with proper care, it could last forever!

I bought the grill so that I could sear steaks, grill for a party and cook BBQ low and slow all in one grill. I have had nothing but success, great grill marks and I am able to maintain a 230-250 degree temperature for BBQ (with smoker box for great flavor). The six burners plus the smoker burner and wide cooking surface allow me to tailor the temperature perfectly. The setup instructions were clear and I was able to assemle it myself. I am very pleased with my purchase of the Summit Gold D6 and knowing Weber will be around for as long as I will own this grill as also very reassuring.

Weber 5710001 Summit Gold A4 Propane Gas Grill Review

(More customer reviews)This is a serious grill that is well designed and built to last. Its 200 pound weight gives it a solid feel and MOST of the components are heavy gauge stainless steel. A major exception to this are the cooking grates, which are a very lightweight stainless steel "hollow shell" type of design. They are very flimsy and aren't well suited for a grill of this caliber. To get the welded solid rod design, you'll need to step up to the Platinum Summit, which runs $200 more. I would have rated this grill 5 stars out of 5 if it had a better cooking grate. As far as cooking performance, the 4 burner control is awesome for direct and indirect cooking. Assembly of the grill was also surprisingly easy. Taking my time, it took about 90 minutes to unpack it, read the directions, and completely assemble it. Also, despite the Amazon.com review, it does not come with a propane tank so you'll need your own. Lastly, you cannot lite all 4 burners sequentially with the single touch of a button. You can lite one set of burners with each touch of the igniter button (this grill has two sets of burners).

Weber 7770001 Summit Platinum B6 Propane Grill, Stainless Steel Review

(More customer reviews)I have to admit that I had a hard time choosing between the Summit Platinum B6 Propane Grill and the D6, the only difference being the rotisserie. In the end, I realized that I didn't eat a lot of chicken on the grill (give me steaks or tuna), so I didn't pay the extra $300 for something I was likely not going to use (the rotisserie). I am extremely happy with this grill. First of all, friends, it's just absolutely gorgeous. The stainless steel is beautiful and very easy to clean. Secondly, this bad boy cranks up to full heat in less than 10 minutes. Thirdly, the heating is sufficient to sear tuna (1 minute per side with sashimi grade ahi tuna, and perfection) or steak without cooking it all the way through. Finally, the heat is even throughout, and the adjustable burners make for very easy indirect cooking.
I have to admit that I am still a charcoal man at heart (and I keep an old Weber charcoal pit on the side), but I may have made a late life conversion based upon the ease of use here. It's just too easy, and has had me cooking outside much much more.
As an aside, this grill arrived in New Orleans (home town) one month before the storm. Consequentally, this baby was my sole source of cooking for over a month. I think that makes it a survival tool, and I'm thinking about sending the receipt to FEMA. ;)

Used this for 2 nights of camping, and cooked hamburgers and hot dogs. It's a good size for doing 4 burger patties and 2-3 hot dogs at one time. Cooking time was really fast, and it's very easy to light up and clean as well. The size is perfect, and I like that it has a lid, which can be clamped on for travel. Really happy with this product! A GREAT VALUE for the price!!

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product and am not that impressed. It is really just a pressure guage with some colored zones on it. It doesnt give you the greatest indication of the amount of fuel left in the tank. It does work, and as the needle indicates lower, obviously the tank contains less LP but it isnt that accurate. With the tank valve shut, the pressure will go up and indicate "GREEN," making you think that you have a lot of fuel. But when you turn on the grill and the pressure drops it indicates "RED" and you could run out of fuel before you cook your food.
Use this gauge as a general indication of tank level only, dont expect the greatest results. Take the $20 that you would spend on this device and apply it towards purchasing a second propane tank. That way if one tank runs out you have another to replace it with while you go and exchange the empty. You'll always have propane!

I was a bit skeptical ordering such a large item from Amazon and on having to put it together myself. Delivery went very smoothly. The company that delivered it even brought it up into my 3rd floor walkup apartment.
I think Weber claims that it takes 10 minutes to put this series together. That might be a slightly fast - but I definitely had it up and ready in under an hour. One person can do everything except one lifting step.
I use it even more than I thought I would and it does a great job. Vegetables, seafood, pizza - everything works great.
It's a bit more than more basic grills, but I think when you see the construction you'll realize you're getting a lot for your money.

It's got a very powerful clip on that doesn't budge in wind or when I move the kettle grill. It's got a very bright, clear, targeted light that can completely illuminate my 22 1/2 inch weber grill cooking surface. I would highly recommend this light (and save about $20 from the aforementioned foodie store).
